Sunday Adult Education
The purpose of Sunday School is to change lives for Jesus Christ by evangelizing the lost and discipling those who respond to the Gospel through our classes. Our mission is to connect members to the body of Christ at Church of the Holy Apostles. The below class list covers the Spring of 2012.
So Long Insecurity
Continues through March 11 at 9 am in the Office Meeting Room. Led by Lynette Naeger.
Women worry about everything from our looks to our finances to our relationships. But it doesn't have to be this way. It's time to say "So long!" to insecurity and focus instead on becoming the wives, mothers, sisters, daughters and friends God intended us to be. For more description of this women's Bible study,

We will wander with them through the desert and discover all God taught them during this time. Finally we will study the hand off in leadership from Moses to Joshua and get a peek of the Promised Land!
Impress Faith on Your Kids
February 19 through March 25 at 9:30 a.m. in the Kids Worship Room. Taught by Luc Huyse.
Parents want to be involved in the spiritual development of their kids, but where do they begin? How can we help them? In his book Impress Faith on Your Kids, Mark Holmen points out that passing your faith to the next generation is significant and encourages parents to build their home on Deuteronomy 6:7. Going beyond the why of passing faith to the next generation, the author gives practical tools for parents to use in sharing faith with their children. His desire for parents to succeed is evident as he shares personal letters with a parent who struggles, as all parents do, to practice this in daily life. Parents will gain a better understanding of God's plan for passing faith to the next generation and learn practical ways to make it happen in their homes.
Vintage Christianity
February 19 through March 25 at 9:30 a.m. in the Great Room. Taught by Darrel Proffitt.
James is regarded as one of the best New Testament books for beginning disciples; its practical approach gives new believers a handle on putting their faith into practice. As one of the oldest New Testament books, James gives us a good idea of the focus of teaching in the early days of the church. We call this class Vintage Christianity because James takes us back to the earliest days of the faith, showing us what it means to be a follower of Jesus.

This class examines what the book of 1 John teaches about the certainties of the Christian life -- knowing that we are forgiven, knowing that we have eternal life, knowing that our prayers are being heard, knowing that God will help us overcome. These are the assurances that John gives his readers; it's what God wants every believer to know.
