Confirmation is an important milestone in the life of the church.  At Baptism, parents pledge to raise their children in the knowledge of God’s word and let their lives be an example of God’s transforming love.  At confirmation, parents hand the responsibility of the child’s faith to them, and partner with them as co-heirs in Christ, learning together what it means to be a fully devoted follower of Jesus.  Confirmation classes will conclude with a special ceremony on Wednesday, December 1.
Parents of confirmands are strongly encouraged to participate in a special Sunday school series where you will be equipped to help your child get the most out of their confirmation experience as well as preparing you to support your child towards the next milestone in their faith journey.  Sundays, September 5 – November 28 in the youth great room.

The mission of COTHA’s youth group is; “We are disciples making disciples by F.A.I.T.H.”  Being a disciple is what we are all about. By F.A.I.T.H. describes how we are going to accomplish this mission.
F.A.I.T.H. stands for:
Find a friend who does not have a relationship with Jesus.
Ask your friend to attend a COTHA youth function.
Introduce your friend to the life of COTHA.
Tell your friend about Jesus.
Help your friend grow in their relationship with Jesus.
It is a simple but effective strategy.  By putting your faith in Jesus, believing that He will use you, not only will you grow as a disciple but you will be able to lead your friends to faith in Jesus.  This whole process is simply going to be known as PLUS 1. Through worship, Bible study and prayer, each of the five F.A.I.T.H. steps will offer definitive goals, expectations, and strategies to successfully guide a friend into a saving relationship with Jesus.
